Culina to miss season for Jets

Jason Culina will most likely miss the entire A-League season as his injured knee requires surgery.

As reported on footballkingz.com last week, Culina had been struggling to shrug of a knee complaint but the Newcastle Jets were giving him every chance to recover and show he could play this season

Marquee signing Culina, 31 was brought in by the Jets after the end of last season and was expected to play a big role in the upcoming 2011/2012 campaign.

The Socceroo had already undergone knee surgery in the off season but it seems the procedure did not work as planned as Culina still had pain. Culina will now undergo surgery in the coming days to rectify the problem.
