Wellington Phoenix have new owners
Wellington Phoenix have new owners after it was revealed that previous owner Terry Serepisos had his licence revoked by Football Federation Australia (FFA).
Terry Serepisos who has had the A-League licence since 2007 has debts of over $158 million Australian. He has handed the Phoenix's licence to a consortium of Wellington based executives, and has put best interests of the club first by doing this.
The financial situation of the club had reportedly resulted in some Phoenix players being paid late. As the new season approached finally, the Pheonix can look to building a squad for the season ahead
