Bolton and Chelsea talk Gary Cahill

Bolton have started talks with Chelsea over the sale of Gary Cahill in January.

Chelsea manager Andre Villas Boas has spoken this week of his admiration for the 26 year old Cahill and his need to strengthen in defence.

The English international defender is out of contract at the end of the season and Bolton Wanderers are looking to cash in rather than seeing him leave for free. Cahill joined Bolton in a £5million move from Aston Villa.

Chelsea’s interest has apparently moved a step further after Bolton revealed today that negotiations had begun to thrash a suitable fee with Bolton wanting about £7million.for the move.
