Samba sell may prevent financial crisis
Blackburn Rovers are looking to ease financial worries in January with Pressure from the Barclays Bank to provide a £10million equity injection.
Blackburn issued a statement to deny reports that the club was 'facing a financial meltdown', but the rumours are flowing that Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal are looking to swoop on giant defender Chris Samba.
Samba is disillusioned with life at the club and may leave in January for around £10million. This seems a good option and good value for some of the teams needing cover or wanting a new centre back as Gary Cahill will command a fee of £8million and he will be out of contract in June.
Junior Hoilett,, Keith Andrews, Vince Grella, Martin Olson and Nick Blackman are reportedly on the way out with Rovers owners Venkys willing to listen to offers to get them off the wage bill and to raise money for the club.
