Chelsea to spend big and match City

Chelsea manager Andres Villas Boas will be handed a £150million transfer war chest in the New Year according to reports in the Sun UK.

Chelsea have fallen behind the Manchester clubs in recent seasons and owner Roman Abramovich is looking at some big names to help the club back to the top.

Top targets include Milos Krasic from Juventus rated at £20m. £50m rated striker Edinson Cavani, his Napoli midfield team mate Marek Hamsik and Eden Hazard from Lille who are both valued at £30m.

Abramovich is willing to back his new manager and give him the ammunition to make Chelsea title contenders again with Gary Cahill, who is set to leave Bolton for £7m the first of many to come.
