Could it be a Chelsea fire sale
Chelsea owner Roman Ambromavich has this week come out and backed under fire manager Andre Villas-Boas and is willing to give him time now to build his own squad.
Boas who is under pressure after losing again at home, this time Aston Villa, has refused to rule out further January sales at Chelsea with a host of his stars linked with moves away from Stamford bridge.
It is reported that Didier Drogba, Florent Malouda, Salomon Kalou, Frank Lampard, Alex and Bosingwa could follow Nicolas Anelka when the transfer window reopens to allow for new signings for a new look Chelsea.
Both Malouda and Kalou have been linked with Paris St Germain, who on Friday confirmed former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti as their new manager and Boas himself wants to wrap a deal for Gary Cahill from Bolton by the end of the week.
