Balotelli looking at another suspension
Mario Balotelli may face a suspension of up to four matches for his reckless stamp on Tottenham's Scott Parker.
The Manchester City striker was last night charged with violent conduct by the FA over the incident which sparked fury as he later scored the winning penalty in injury time to rub salt in Spurs wounds.
City and Balotelli have until tomorrow to decide whether to accept the charge or appeal. The ban would be four matches as it is his second red card of the season following one at Anfield in November.
Referee Howard Webb told the FA last night he had not seen the incident involving Balotelli, but would have sent him off if he had. City did receive one piece of good news as Joleon Lescott will not face any further punishment for his elbow on Younes Kaboul which also looked dangerous.
