Mark Hughes confirmed as new manager of QPR
Mark Hughes who is the former Fulham, Manchester City and Blackburn manager joins QPR and replaces Neil Warnock who was sacked on Sunday night.
Hughes signed a 2½-year deal and is said to be handed a £20 million warchest to get QPR up the ladder.
The new manager said: "It's a great feeling to be back in football and to be the manager of QPR. I'm fully aware of the challenge in the short and long term and I am genuinely excited about the ambition of the owners.”
Hughes has got his old team back together so he will be joined by Mark Bowen with Eddie Niedzwiecki taking up the role of first team coach and Kevin Hitchcock as goalkeeping coach.
